Financial Advisor

Joe graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Management, and received his Certificate in Financial Planning from Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies.  He joined Miller McCurry in 2020, bringing with him a decade’s worth of account management experience in the corporate world.

Joe started his professional career at DICK’S Sporting Goods headquarters in merchandising, working with vendors and stores in the custom golf equipment business.  In 2014, Joe joined the Pittsburgh Pirates, consulting business leaders across the region on PNC Park’s premium and hospitality areas.  After witnessing a few playoff runs, Joe was presented with the opportunity to bring the Topgolf experience to the Pittsburgh market in 2018, where he specialized in the venue’s corporate and charitable accounts.  Finally, in 2020, Joe took a “leap of faith” and pursued the profession that had piqued his interest ever since graduating college, leading him to Miller McCurry.  Joe is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Joe’s name is instantly recognizable to most natives as the namesake to his grandfather, who served the population as chief meteorologist at WTAE-TV for over 35 years.  Joe is a lifelong citizen of Moon Township, and currently resides in the area with his wife Leah, their son Matthew, and their Miniature American Shepherd, Levi.

Away from work, Joe enjoys golfing, supporting all of the Pittsburgh sports teams, reading up on the latest automotive trends, and taking walks with his family and dog. Joe is currently the treasurer of the Moon Parks Foundation, serves on various committees at Montour Heights Country Club, and is an active supporter of The Salvation Army’s Project Bundle-Up.
